DESCRIPTION:IIBEC – Canadian Prairies is hosting the Lunch ‘n Learn talk called “Procurement”. The event will be held December 13th, 2023. Lunch will be served at 11:00. The talk will begin at 11:30. Our 2023 AGM will follow.\nJoin us for a HYBRID event, Procurement. The Event will be live-streamed virtually. The in-person location is the ARCA Calgary Office. Those who purchase a virtual ticket will be sent the link separately to the email address attached to their Paypal transaction.\nOverview:\nThis presentation touches on various procurement models, the risks of Contract A, and on obligations under trade agreements. It is intended to provide a basic understanding of different models, and empower the consultant to speak up if they see something that doesn’t seem to be running correctly.\nThis talk is being presented by Burt Carver. This Lunch ‘n Learn is good for 1 CEH credit.\n​About the presenter:\nMr. Carver is the Owner of Apex Building Sciences Inc. founded in 2008. He has been involved in the building science sector since 1998. In that time he worked in a variety of sectors including restoration, new construction, and asset management.
