Overview:
Condensation can occur in mechanical equipment and connections, especially in colder climates like the prairies. Water in the building due to condensation is often confused for a roof membrane leak. This talk is to discuss how roof assemblies and accessories may be affected by condensation, and how this could affect the building tenants. We will focus on identification of mechanical condensation issues, why they occur, and what can be done to resolve issues affecting the building. We will also consider how to discuss these items with the mechanical contractors, and the building operators/owners.
Learning Objective 1 – How condensation may happen in various mechanical units and/or connections.
Learning Objective 2 – Process of identifying mechanical condensation issues.
Learning Objective 3 – Potential solutions
This talk is being presented by Robert Spamola. This Lunch ‘n Learn is good for 1 CEH credit.
